PERSISTING PLASTIC

Eyes wandered here and there

to see something more beautiful.

But I found this world to have

thousands of plastics, plentiful.

Along my way to an unknown place,

I found it lying in different forms —

like bags, toys, cups, and rice,

in spite of the existing norms.

I saw it thrown as large heaps,

in landfills and the ocean deep,

that slowly enter animals, and

lead mankind toward a painful sleep.

Just because of this living dynamite

animal foods have turned drastic.

Jute and rice may rise like the sun,

if the earth gets rid of plastic.
