THROUGH DUST AND RAIN...

Standing by the window,

She glimpsed a lightened thunder

through a murky window

dusting her face in silence.

The noise of people around

overshadowed the whisper of rain.

Reading beneath a quiet lamp,

the world fading, page by page.

Waiting for her time to sleep,

she was ready to leave to nowhere.

She knew - this might be her last,

her body whispered a quiet farewell.

The air around her stilled

and the rain also hushed

Even the noise seemed to fade,

as if to bid her a kinder goodbye.

But the pages still waited for her -

strangely unfinished, unspoken,

that made her sad enough

to leave them behind.

The book began as a rainy thriller,

where a happy-go-lucky young man,

once fearful of conflict,

transformed into a lone hero,

pulling himself into an unexpected adventure.

Unaware of the looming end,

his battle started with goons and fools.

The pages turned, ending with the child alone,

crying for the hero's fatal death.

There were pages left to fill her death,

as she took one last glance of her father.

But she forgot that no one would carry her illness,

for the goons and fools had already sealed her fate.
